André Kertész

Kertész' photographs clearly have a vintage feel in reason of photographing around the 1920s. All his work mostly feature people, as he captured them in everyday settings. He worked on the streets of Paris, which is seen in many of his photographs. A lot of his work has been featured on magazines covers, which inspired a lot of photographers into photojournalistic techniques.

My Friends at Cafe du Dome

This photograph is taken in Paris as most of his work was influenced by the streets of the city. He has clearly taken an everyday setting, and turned it into a photograph. This shows Kertész' love for photographing people. The artist created a focal point on the man ob the left, using the rule of thirds.









Wandering Violinist 

This is a photograph of a vionlinist. The artist has placed him on the right axes, with a general use of the rule of thirds, this creates a focal point for the man. This photograph has an amazing composition as the negative space is taken up by two children. This shows Kertész' inspitation towards everyday scenes as he photographs a violinist in the street.







Vivian Maier

Vivian Maier's photographs are inspired by everyday life in the streets. Maier was born in New York city
